What did I learn that increased my understanding of Manaiakalani kaupapa and pedagogy?
It was great to gain a deeper understanding of where Manaiakalani came from and the work and dedication that has gone into this from many years before. The impact of devices for students is clearly evident from the data.
What did I learn that could improve my confidence, capability or workflow as a professional?
Using the subheadings tool to assist tracking on a google doc has a huge amount of potential within a school context and I can also see this as being a great timesaver also.
What did I learn that could be used with my learners?
The 'title, headings and subheading tracking, removing backgrounds from images that contain people(www.remove.bg) and the voice typing under tools will be a fantastic tool that I can imagine using on a daily basis in my class programme now.
What did I learn that could improve my confidence, capability or workflow in my personal life?
Using google docs to create posters/invites etc
I am also keen to try out the voice tool with my students and explore different ways we could utilise this tool.
ReplyDeleteHi Dominique
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you enjoyed the first day of the Manaiakalani Digital Fluency Intensive. I love the header image you have on your blog, it's very colourful and you could use that as the basis to customise the rest of your site. I'd be interested to hear how it goes using voice typing the header outlines with your students.
Hi Dominique,
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your reflection of the day. So many little things, that can make a huge difference to our workflow. I look forward to hearing more about how you would use the voice typing tool with your students.
Hi Domininque
ReplyDeleteAwesome reflections of what you learnt at your first DFI I think the voice app is going to be good to use within our classrooms as well.
